Eastern Nebraska / Game Saturday August 13th at Fort Calhoun Field
« on: August 08, 2016, 12:10:03 PM »
Our next game will be on Saturday August 13th from 10 am to 3 pm at the new Fort Calhoun field.  The field is on Highway 75 between Omaha and Fort Calhoun.  The address is 2173 Highway 75.  Standard rules  set for our games apply.  Age limit of 18 and older.  There will be a $5 field fee for the land owner.  We will need liability waivers for this field.  I will put a link to the waivers at the bottom of the NME rule set.  Please print off a waiver and bring it with you to save some time so we can get on the field quickly.  Please post up if you are in so I can get a count.  Thanks!

Long Guns / Review of ICS CXP UK1 Captain
« on: February 26, 2016, 07:19:12 AM »
Hey guys,

I applied for and was chosen to be one of fifty "ICS Captains" last year.  I figured I could score some free swag.  ICS said they would possibly send some of us free guns to T&E.  Lucky me, they sent me the new ICS CXP UK1 Captain.  Thus in an attempt to spread the gospel of ICS I completed a quick review.

Let me know what you think,

Rob

Long Guns / ICS PAR MK3
« on: January 11, 2015, 04:23:28 PM »
I ordered one of these this week direct from Hong Kong:

http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/ics-par-mk3-c-mtr-10-5-inch-ebb-aeg-imt-290-1-proline-tan.html#.VLL18NLF_nh

It is ICS' new proline M4 design.  From what I can tell they have made several improvements over their previous M4 models.  Where recent "new" ICS M4s (CXP line) were basically body kits on their existing platform the new transform4 line actually incorporates some internal upgrades which include: upgraded piston standard, dual sling plate, EBB (pretty weak), metal hop up unit, upgraded gears (not sure what this means), safety spring release and a 6.03 TBB standard.  The metal hop up unit and 6.03 TBB standard have definitely been a LONG time coming.  Although the new line still has a split gearbox design the upper gearbox has been modified from their traditional M4 design.  So much so that I doubt you will be able to use old upper gearboxes in the new guns but we shall see.  I will let you guys know more when it gets here.

Eastern Nebraska / XWarrior Outdoor Field game on Saturday 10-18-14
« on: October 17, 2014, 04:05:50 PM »
Hey Guys,

Myself and a couple additional Fire Team Six members will be playing at the normal Saturday game at XWarrior's outdoor arena this Saturday, October 18th.  Game on is at about 1030 am.  You probably want to show up at about 10 am.  Pay at the front desk before you come to the field.  I believe the field fee is $10.  They have been getting a pretty consistent games of about twenty players.  Boots are mandatory for all players.  Full seal eye protection is mandatory for players under 19 years old.  FPS limits are ASN standard (400 fps for full auto, 450 fps for semi only, 550 fps for bolt action sniper).  They have been putting on some pretty good games lately.

Hope to see some of you out there!

Airsoft Gear Classifieds / Need JG Bar 10 for parts
« on: August 07, 2014, 09:17:31 AM »
Doing a TM VSR10 build.  I purchased a used gun on eBay.  It has a lot of excellent internal upgrades but externally it is a little rough.  Thus, I need a parts gun.  If anyone has an old JG Bar10 I can pick up cheap I will gladly take it off your hands.

Airsoft Gear Classifieds / WTS ICS M4 (Desert Marpat)
« on: July 30, 2014, 02:50:12 PM »
Hey Guys,

I am selling off my ICS M4 with the desert marpat paint job.  This used to be my Op rifle but as we rarely wear digital marpat anymore I am selling it rather than deal with the head ache of repainting it.  The rifle is in perfect working order.  It will come with the pictured Eotech replica optic, Madbull 6.03 TBB, Guarder clear hop up bucking and H nub.  The upper gearbox is stock ICS and shoots at about 360 fps.  I will include an ICS crane style battery.

Asking $250 firm.

P.S. The paint is not quite as flawless as it is in the above photo.  There are a few chips here and there but it still looks great.  This rifle was professionally painted by Mutinous Creations with automotive paint.  It is VERY durable paint.

After Action Reports / Broken Home 3 AAR

I will add more later.  For now, this is the last photo we took at the end of the event.  We are showing off the COST flag that we captured at the enemy TOC.  It was a great weekend.

Hey guys I am going to give XWarrior's outdoor field a try this Saturday.  They have recently made some improvements to this field (moved a bunch of dirt).  I believe their outdoor games start at 10 am and cost $10 (pay at the indoor facility).  This is one of our last opportunities to brush up our game before BH3.  Hope to see some of you there!

Thanks to everyone who came out and played.  It was a beautiful day with very little wind and comfortable temperatures.  We had fifteen players total which is a good number for the play area that we were using.  We divided up the teams between players going to BH3 and everyone else so we could get a chance to play together before the big Op.  I want to give a big THANKS out to the red team for agreeing to this team arrangement.  The FT6 and the MWM  rarely get a chance to play together as we are typically on opposing teams.  This game gave us a chance to get some good practice in working as a combined team.

We played two games of three flag attack/defend in the wood line on the West end of the field.  Red team attacked first and captured all three flags in 1:16 (I think).  Blue team (The BH3 Team) attacked second and captured all three flags just a few minutes faster at 1:09 (once again, I think).  It was a close game with fairly evenly matched teams.  Both teams struggled to capture the second flag which was by far the hardest objective.  We had four players from the Council Bluffs area come out to play as well.  I had never met any of them before.  It was great to meet some new players especially ones that were so competitive.  They were a good bunch of guys and I look forward to playing more games with them.  They mentioned they they have a field near Glenwood Iowa and that they would post their games on our forum in the future.

I did not observe any hit calling issues all day.  It was a real mature and professional group of players to work with.  I will add more AAR later.

Eastern Nebraska / Fort Calhoun Game - Saturday, May 3rd, 2014
« on: April 29, 2014, 09:13:19 PM »
This is a normal Saturday game day at the Fort Calhoun Field.  This was the field we used for Operation Yellow Jacket.  It is about 33 acres so it is significanly larger than the GOAA field.  Bring lots of water and be prepared to get your PT in for the day.  This will be good training for Operation Broken Home 3.  As I have not put on any games yet for 2014 I will need new waivers from everyone.

I am planning on running a couple of semi auto only games so we can get accustom to that style of play before Broken Home 3.  I would also like to use medic rules similar to those used for American Milsim games.  Everyone will have to bring a short section of rope with them to tie on an arm as a "bandage".

FIELD LOCATION: Here is a link to the field.  Just check NW of the start point.  The green arrow is the center of the field.
http://maps.google.com/maps?q=41.500944,-96.090814&hl=en&ll=41.500872,-96.090621&spn=0.00364,0.006856&sll=41.500591,-96.090986&sspn=0.00364,0.006856&num=1&t=h&z=17

Just take Highway 75 North out of Omaha, go through Fort Calhoun (slow down so you don't get a ticket), turn left onto county road P37 (Not 37, there is a difference) and head south one mile.  The field will be on your right.  There is a gravel driveway leading into the field, don't blink or you may miss it.

FIELD FEE: $8.00

BE ON TIME!!!
The safety briefing will start promptly at 0930, with game on right after until 3 pm.  I highly suggest you be at the field by 0900.  This field can be hard to find as it is not well marked.  I will put a red marker with some red duck tape on it at the entrance of the field.

There is an age limit of 18 and older on this game.  No exceptions.

If you have yet to complete a waiver for this field this year you can find it here:http://nuclearfuzzgrunge.com/asn/ASNwaiver.pdf

Please post up if you are in.

Airsoft Gear Classifieds / FS Condor 48" double rifle bag
« on: April 23, 2014, 10:35:51 AM »
For sale a lightly used OD Condor 48" double rifle case.  I mainly used this for storing weapons and rarely used it to transport guns to games.  This is a large case that will easily hold two full size rifles.  The inside of the case has molle attachement points and several velcro stips that you can use to secure the rifles in the case.  The case has two exterior pockets.  One has a hidden pocket and the other is large enough to secure a SMG.  The case is padded to protect your guns.  I paid about $80 for this case brand new.  I am asking $50.

Long Guns / New ICS M4 ("Transform4") in 2014

Check it out:

Looks like they have added some cool new innovations.  I like the take down pins that stay attached to the lower receiver and the spring decompressing everytime you engage the safety.  Additionally they have an ambidextrous charging handle.

Movies / Lone Survivor

I saw this movie last night.  It was a very powerful film.  It was as good as Black Hawk Down.  Any film that leaves the audience sitting in silence at the end is worth the trip.
