I have been looking to get into airsoft for a while now just never had much money. Now i have a decent job and am looking at some different guns to get after i get my feet wet with a game or two. What time of the day do the games start/end? I work security and get off at 8am, so was hoping for some afternoon games. As for equipment i am looking into a ARES Tavor 21, the newer tan one: http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.php?products_id=32149  It looks good but i know little about aegs so far so what do you guys think? Hope to be able to get to a game sometime soon if one pops up.

Most games start around 9:30-10:00 and go untill about 3-4 in the afternoon.  Most games you can show up at any time you want during that and we'll do our best to get you in.  Some games require you to be there at the beginning to know what the heck is going on Smiley

As to the Tavor, I'm not a huge fan of either STAR or their OEM, ARES.  The ARES Tavor's are not without their issues.  Personally though, I've never seen one, just read about it.  But it does follow the typical STAR/ARES trend of "Meh internals, Meh Externals, and a high price."

If a Tavor is really what you want, then you only have STAR/ARES as a choice (the TSI is a true an utter joke).  Otherwise, there is literally hundreds of other guns out there Smiley

You should come to the game at madcow coming up in the games section eastern ne, and there should some folks out there with rentals,  i would rent a few and see what type you want to play with,  there's too many variables with how/what you want to play,  i prefer some games to use my shorter p 90,  and some i really wanna try out this m14..

I know for a fact that a lot of people start out with an M16/M4 or some other variant.  My first gun was a KWA KG36C and I like it very much.  I recently got a Echo 1 and VFC Platinum series M4 and I like it too.  I would say the M4 is a little bit more comfortable, but that's just my opinion.
