Has anyone else noticed how excessively slow the forum has been running lately?  Can an admin look into this please?

Whiskey mentioned this to me the other day but honestly it doesn't feel any worse than normal to me, either from work or from home. On my iphone it is downright zippy.  (considering the connection)

I will contact bigmatt, there has been discussion about moving the site to a new host anyway.

If you check the logs, I bet this site is getting crawled really hard. That is the spammer tactic. Make a profile with the URL in the sig, link to it everywhere else and let the spiders drive your rank up. That is why the spammer/bot accounts need to be purged.

Logs look normal and it's snappy for me as well.  I'll look into the spambot accounts and see what I can delete from there.

It spead up there after Gunfather posted this, but I was on the phone with him prior to his post and it was SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW.  Not sure what it was to be honest Smiley

I'm working with the host to see if there are any db related issues as well but I'm glad to hear it's working more smoothly now.  The new version (2.0) of the forum software has many more anti-spambot features and we will implement it as soon as it's released.
