Off topic but

I don't understand how hard it is for teens NOT play here. You sign up, get directions and date,  you sign a waiver, you come out to a game with a parent, you play the game, you come back, say you had fun (or not) repeat the process ect. Its the exact same thing someone whose over 18 has to do without the attendance of a guardian. Is that really so complicated. Ive been playing here since i was 12 without much hassle.

I have nothing against young players.  Young players are afterall the future of this sport.  I am nothing but impressed with some of the skills and maturity of some of our young players.  Then there are the other ones.  These are the children who beleive they are my peer just because they have an internet connection.  This is not the case.  Epic Gorilla if you took offense to my comments that was not my intention.  You just need to understand that you are a thirteen year old child.  I was thirteen once too.  Looking back on those years I would have never approached an adult in the manner that you have, as a peer.  It is because of your young age that we have to obtain permission from your parents and not you.  You do not have the legal ability to make decisions for your own well being.  We, as game organizers, have to consult your parents as they are legally resposible for you and they are the ones who are going to be suing us on your behalf if you get hurt.  Enjoy your youth.  You have the rest of your life to be old and responsible.

Gunfather makes a great point. I think some of the criticism of teens these days lies with their undue sense of entitlement. It seems that we have a generation of pampered ass momma's boys who think becuase they breathe air they are the equal of those older than them. They know as much as we do, and they think their opinions are gospel truth. Perhaps if some of them would do a little more listening and a whole lot less talking they could begin to recognize that dream of being on our level. However, for many this will never happen because they have neither the wisdom nor the patience to make it happen. No one is discriminating against you Epic. It is just hard to listen to someone who doesn't pay their own bills, or even drive themselves around talk about the complex realities of civil liability as they apply to a business owner. Also many of us get tired of the repetitive posts about this place or company or person wanting to open and airsoft arena. If it happens great if not oh well.

Indeed well put and this is the number one cause of problems in young America I believe.  I do believe some kids *not targeting anyone just stating* are given way too much freedom for their own good and are given everything they want.  When this happens I believe children think that they are the ones in charge and like gunfighter said, think they speak the gospel truth.  Now with that said, wisdom comes with years of experience and telling an elder what is right is a little out of line.  Elder is not old in my vocabulary but someone with more knowledge than I do.  Now there are some things kids now a days can teach an older person, but one of them is not maturity levels and how certain rules partake and legal issues.  I was 13 once too, I was somewhat of a fathead at the time as well...and I tell you what, I quickly learned how much I did not know.  I am currently 19 and still do not know a whole lot and if someone older or close to my age heck even a younger person corrected me or told me that what I said was not exactly right, in no way would I take offense to it because that is life, you are learning in life and will continue to learn for the rest of life.  That being said, I am ranting here I know, I'm sorry, but people here are not trying to talk down to you like you are stupid, they are simply helping you understand the subject.  I witnessed first hand what can happen to a shop's owner because of a child's liability.  Look around of the forums, do not really want to explain it again but the kid got his front tooth shot out and the parent sued.  The shop owner won the case *doesn't always happen this way* but he still lost countless time and lots of money that could have been put elsewhere,  it cost several days of keeping the shop closed causing workers not being able to make money and causing Ryan the owner to lose even more money.

Dadadada.....I am just plain curious about how this is going to turn out, you know, the field we're talking about....

I't might go big and get airsoft some good publicity, or gould go horribly wrong and like that one kid who died skate boarding,
their mom might try to shut down all airsoft feilds in the USA....(She failed)

Oh well...time tells it's tale.... undecided...we'll see.

I see your points but I am not acting alone through this whole conversation I have been talking to my parents about the games and airsoft in general. I will also state one of my points again, everyone has a opinion and everyone thinks there opinion is the best, and correct one. Also I do not see how I am talking to you as a peer. I see you people on the forums as more of a stranger than peer. I understand your point and I understand your views of children, but I do not think all children are like the way you think, its rather stereotypical. One of your points was that I get everything I want, I would like to state that I will be paying for everything I get for airsoft, and I am turning 14 soon and plan to get a job. Lets think back to how this started, a comment and a misunderstanding can lead to many people being angry. So I propose we drop the subject now and get back to what this whole thing is about, Family Fun Center's airsoft arena.

Well I've got a whole group of friends who are All really gettin into airsoftin. We've got the guns and were workin on gettin the gear we need now. Were all turnin 15 this year so I believe were gonna start headin out to games. I do agree with earlier posts about certain people needing to mature and the fact tht people do get wat they want most of th time. Ha gorrrila not sure where you expect to find work. Everywhere I picked up applications the age was fifteen and up so u might b out of luck unless some buisness is willing to hire fourteen yr olds. Luckliy I turn fifteen in two months and i've got my ey on a job opening

No big deal mryle. It's kind of what most of use expected anyway. If it's usable, and he's willing I'd be up for renting it on occassion. That is assuming others are interested as well. Kind of depends on how much he would want per person for that.

Ok guys I have new information. My dad works for Signal 88 security who do all the security for FFC. He talked to a manager or someone about it. Here's what I learned and can confirm.

Paintless paintball because it's more durable and don't break as much is what they sais

They will rent it out for airsoft when the business is quieter.

It is part of the top half of the building

There will be a jeep cherokee inside it

Bad news: it's only 2500 square feet

A Jeep?  on the top floor of the place?  I'm assuming since they're including something like this that it's going to have some sort of jungle or apocalyptic setting, but man.  Wouldn't it just be easier for them to build a car-esque structure than hoist a car up there?

Sounds interesting, but I still think overall it's a poor decision on FFC's part.

Sounds like it's kind of a hit and miss.If it pans out and everything is good then there is a place to play.Only thing is the set up.When we think of CQB,we think rooms, may not be the case there. They may just have walls maybe a room or two. They don't care about mil sim, they care about money. If they take someone's concideration and ask, they could make more money just off us.Just what I think.

Or they could say scrap it.That sucks.

Quick question,do you all use the orange compensator?
