Hi, I'm kinda new to airsoft. I haven't had much experience apart from a few battles of 3 on 3 or less with my friends. Our guns are terrible (the best one being my friends crappy spring mp5), but recently many of my friends (myself included) have decided to upgrade our arsenal. Two of my friends are getting m14's and another friend got a TSD SD700. I am currently trying to decide between getting the TSD SD700 and the JG BAR-10. I've read countless reviews and they haven't helped at all. From what I've read, the BAR-10 sound like it's higher quality. If you know anything about these two guns please help me.

Why not a good AEG? Like a CYMA AK, or a JG G36C, I mean, honestly, you'd decimate your buddies (bar maybe the M14's depending on the brand they chose) and you'd be able to then make it out to an ASN game and see what airsofting REALLY is.

Welcome! Just a question, why not go battery powered? If two of your friends are getting M14's wouldn't you want to keep up with something that's Full-Auto or at least Semi-Auto rather than a spring gun? The JG Bar10 looks pretty good, but really being able to throw some plastic down range without having to pull the bolt back for every shot would be ideal. It's not like spring rifles are any more accurate than a AEG in most cases as long as you stick with most entry-level brands. A JG G36 or a G&G M4/ M16 and even the CYMA AK47/ 74 or CYMA M14 would be a great choice without going too much over the cost of the Bar10. *Edit - Nice Whiskey, my thoughts exactly.

Or if you're really wanting a spring/bolt action, can tell you the UTG M24 Version III actually is very decent and it's awesomely cheap. The UTG L96 is also good. But that's about the only guns UTg has made good...

Buy a CA M15 sportline for 175 bucks but another maybe 60 into it.I had one,it was my first rifle, all the gearbox mods:SRC pistion,SRC 8 port piston head, guarder ball bearing bushing(got them for a steal),SRC air nozzle and a 120 spring.Throw a tightbore in there and your shootin 410 FPS with .20s and touching about 50 yards easiely.Use some heavier BBs and get a little more accurate. Then do all the make up and stuff to make it look cool.
Bar 10 alll the way if you where to go that rout, know a guy hes got one and he can place a BB wherever he wants at 50 yards, then 75 he can hit a man size target

I am one of sneakery's friends who bought an m14. The other friend actually bought a $40 spring m14 from a company he didnt even know. When I asked whether he bought a Socom version or the full length and he said he had no idea. He did not educate himself on what he was going to buy and it turned out being crap. It broke in 4 weeks. And that wasnt even during a game. He never used it. fail. But anyway, back to sneakery's two choices. He already bought the utg mk96. He got it for $110 bucks. I'd have to say thats a fairly good deal. I'm going to paint one of my sexy camo jobs on it for him. So yeah, he bought it already. I hope it was the right choice.

$110 for a UTG L96 is a pretty good deal. It's accurate and shoots at a strong fps. The only downside is the weight and carrying it around. Other than that I loved mine. I'll probably even get another one some time just because how awesome it was.
