Here is a basic list of DOs and DON'Ts for the Airsoft Nebraska online forums. Not everything will be covered in this quick guide so remember to treat others with respect and they will return the favor. Everyone will slip up once in a while but if we all do our best to follow the guide our forums will be a better place.  Repeated violations will get you banned from the forums.

DO search before posting a question.

DO use complete sentences and avoid l33t or net-speak (how lazy do you have to be to save two characters by typing "U" instead of "YOU"?)

DO make sure your post subject is descriptive ("Problem with MP5 hopup" instead of "Gun doesn't work!")

DO post where it is appropriate for the forum's subject.

DO watch your language.

DO follow-up to "problem" posts with the solution (if you resolve the issue.)

DO be constructive with your criticism (no "I don't like it" posts - it's OK if you don't like something but please say WHY you don't like it.)

DON'T post something that is directed at one person (that's what e-mail and PMs are for.)

DON'T hijack someone else's thread by changing the subject (and don't encourage it by replying to an off topic post.)

DON'T post flame bait or personal attacks (and don't encourage trolls by responding to their posts.)

DON'T quote an entire message when responding (if you do quote a post trim the quote area down to just the relevant parts.)

DON'T necropost by responding to an OLD post unless you have something new to contribute.

DON'T post in ALL CAPS.

DON'T post anything that you would not politely say face to face to another person.

DON'T spam the forum with self-promotional posts (no "click here for a free ipod" posts and NO commercial posts!)

DON'T use an avatar that is inappropriate, inflammatory or adult-oriented.

The forum moderators and site admins reserve the right to delete any post that they deem is objectionable, irritating or just plain dumb. Use of the forums on this site is a privilege which may be revoked at any time. Be nice and think before you post and everything will be fine.
